SPLASH Priority areas for 2008-2009
  • Extending Diversionary, Educational and Health projects for children and young people through a focused Youth programme;
  • Promoting a wide range of Healthy Living Programmes for people of all ages;
  • Building the skills, knowledge and capacity of local residents and tenants to create better opportunities for them in terms of jobs, life skills and further education;
  • Promoting Estate Partnership work with Tower Hamlets Homes;
  • Promoting harmony and cultural appreciation through India-Year;
  • Strengthening our partnership work with LBTH; the PCT; Tower Hamlets College; Local Area Partnerships 7 & 8; Safer Neighbourhood Teams; and local Voluntary, Statutory and Business groups;

    • ESOL, Sewing, Parenting, ICT, Health Care, Media, Citizenship, Training and Employment Opportunities for local people
  2. Fit.Com- Healthy Living: Amanda Molyneux (Mandy)
    • Women's and Men's Programme, Smoking Cessation in partnership with PCT, Thursday Morning's Project
  3. Youth Work: Edwin Lewis
    • Estate based sessions, Women's and Men's Programmes, Holiday Programme, Workhouse Project
  4. Study Support: Iqbal Islam
    • Weekly After School Support on 3 Estates - Tutor Led
  5. ARTWAVE: David Bratby
    • Art Workshop on Estates and in 3 Primary Schools; Art Project in St. Matthias Community Centre all year round; Art Projects with Special Needs Children
  6. PATH-PLAY Project: Mohima Kamaly
    • Play centred Activities based in St. Matthias Centre and in Local Primary Schools and Estates; Girls only Club
  7. 'East meets West' Heritage Project
    • Celebrating 400 years of History: 1607-2006+ Cohesion and Multi-Cultural Understanding; Awards for All 'Asia New' Project
